Shepherds Ministries, dedicated to helping young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities develop greater independence, is seeking two Instructors to teach students with special needs in the Franklin, TN area. POSITION SUMMARY
The Instructor for the Empowered 4 Life Center will facilitate academic development for students by providing practical classroom training and instruction, all in an effort to promote students’ growth towards Appropriate Independence™.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Instruct classes as assigned, incorporating differentiated instruction to promote learning for all students.
  • Evaluate the academic needs of students and assist in the selection of appropriate curriculum materials which meet the needs of students and the objectives of the program.
  • Present lessons utilizing effective instructional methods.
  • Assess students’ knowledge, understanding, and skill acquisition regularly.
  • Complete and maintain student records, including attendance and grades, on an ongoing basis.
